ARTICLES

A list of my published articles and reports. Most are about indigenous landscape management and useful plants. Each can be downloaded as a PDF. These articles are based upon eyewitness accounts of early white explorers, missionaries, and settlers in archives; unpublished and published anthropological field notes and ethnographies; analysis and interpretation of jars of plant parts, bundles of plant materials, and finished artifacts in museums; results of ecological field experiments; and most importantly, interviews with indigenous people in different Tribes.

Man’s heart, away from nature, becomes hard; …lack of respect for growing, living things soon led to lack of respect for humans too. So, he kept his youth close to its softening influence.
